In recent years, the use of AdBlue® has become mandatory for modern diesel vehicles equipped with SCR systems. But the question that stands for many users and businesses is: How can we be sure we are using a quality product?
The quality of AdBlue® is crucial not only for the proper operation of the systems, but also for the environment. Today we will tell you how control is carried out in Bulgaria – and how we at BAMIA contribute to this.
What do we call “quality AdBlue® fluid”?
AdBlue® is an aqueous solution of high purity urea (32.5%) and demineralized water. To be effective, it must comply with ISO 22241, which sets requirements for chemical composition, packaging, storage and transportation of the product.
How does BAMIA monitor quality?
-
Market monitoring
BAMIA systematically monitors AdBlue® products offered on the Bulgarian market – both online and offline. The goal is to identify potentially suspicious sources and brands. -
Sampling and laboratory analysis
Samples are taken from selected retail outlets and sent for analysis in accredited laboratories. This verifies whether the product meets ISO 22241 requirements. -
Verification of documentation and certificates
Every reliable manufacturer or importer must have documents on origin, conformity and quality. BAMIA works with companies that ensure full traceability of the product. -
Alerts from consumers and companies
Every alert regarding quality suspicion is reviewed individually. If necessary, a re-check of the location or product is carried out. BAMIA’s platform for submitting alerts is open to everyone. -
Cooperation with institutions
The association works together with state authorities, including control institutions, to take action when violations are found.
